Listen.  Kurt Vonnegut was one of my childhood favorite's, like so many people.

I loved Kurt Vonnegut.  I hope in his last moments, he reflected happily upon the millions of people whose lives he deeply affected, and the wonderful stories he was leaving behind for all time.

It's only human nature to wish one could have a chance to talk once more (or ever) with someone now gone, and tell them how much they meant to you.  If there's a heaven, I'm sure they have broadband, and a really great search engine.  So Kurt, here's to you.  I was just one of legions that loved you, and as such am in no way special, but nonetheless I felt compelled to offer you what tiny tribute I could.  Farewell, Kurt Vonnegut...So it goes.
